Steve Irwin.

I’m sure we all remember the name.

The man.

The legend.

The crocodile hunter.

Well his legacy continues at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia. And this is where the twins and I found ourselves on one of the hottest days imaginable! ???

The weather was horrible!

But we did get up close and personal with a few cuties….

Well, we patted them… ? I think it is really sweet that they rotate the patting koalas so they don’t have to endure full time patting….More koala butt patting…Aaaaand the kangaroos….We sang the kookaburra song yet again…Now this guy didn’t want a photo…The kids actually know what a cassowary is from the Sydney Wildlife Park. Pretty impressive I think….but I am a bit biased! We got to touch this scaley dude…As you can see it was so hot!!! Even the dingos were exhausted ?! But maybe that is normal?I don’t even remember what this one was, but check out those scales! And my favorites were the tigers ?…so majestic and powerful! I just need to figure out how to cuddle one without dying ?!Aren’t they just perfect?!Wally saved me from a croc! It was so cute! I was pretending to be eaten and he ran out of the pram and rescued me! ?
The heat was really getting to us! We had a few cold drinks, ice blocks and frozen drinks…but eventually we were done…

Australia Zoo is such a wonderful place, and I feel like they really care about the animals. I love how you can get up close to the animals and touch them instead of just looking at them from behind glass.

However, I think we’ll go in winter next time! ❄️❄️❄️
