Yesterday we went up Sydney to one of my favorite places, the Queen Victoria Building, for Santa Photos. As we had never done the ‘Santa photo’ thing yet, I thought we should try and make the first one a bit special. I also really wanted to show the kids the incredible tree the QVB put up every year. It is three stories high and is always covered in Swarovski crystals!

Isn’t it beautiful?!

Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed.  Santa was there in his magical garden where some of the animals even move! There were more fairy lights than I have ever seen in one place, and his beard was real! I’m sure of it! Poor guy though, he must have been so hot! I was dying and I was in a dress, not a velvet jumpsuit!

Here is Santa trying to make friends. The kids weren’t too sure…

We tried a few things to get the perfect photo, starting with bubbles….

Santa! You should always be looking!

We even tried Santa out of the photo lol

I never thought the twins would be scared of Santa until we got there. They were really great until mummy and daddy tried to jump out of the photo…then everything changed! Eeek!

Wally was happy sitting up there, but Tori just wanted to dance!

And finally we got this little gem! We were all actually looking at the camera and pretty much all smiling! Amazing!!!

We then grabbed Santa for a selfie with the amazing tree behind us!

Can you see the crystal detail behind me? The crystals were in strings dangling from star sprays all over the tree.

After the photos we looked at the two epic clocks at either end of the QVB, but sadly we missed the coming of the hour. 🙁 There is a puppet show in one and I believe all the people move on the other. There’s always next time I guess! (I say that every time!)

If you live in or near Sydney, I would totally recommend going in to the QVB at Christmas time. The Santa Photos are really lovely and the tree beautiful. If you have never been, then go just for the architecture!!! It’s one of the most beautiful buildings in Sydney and probably Australia!

And lastly, you won’t believe where I bought my dress…………Coles. Yes, like the place you buy your groceries! Crazy right! But I love it!

Oh and P.S. As a thank you from Santa, he gave us a voucher for Doghnut Time. So that was the cherry on top of a lovely afternoon!
